Been learning a great deal about exotic imports and their effect on the lake's environment. Then
we took a ride around the lake and were shocked at what we saw! Who cares about weeds impeding the lake's ambience for swimming?
Not me! Who cares about the fish and other life in the lake? I DO! Don't you?
The Lake Association board members agree that aquatic pests, especially e.milfoil, are becoming
a nuisance. It would be much easier to nip this problem in the bud now than to do as Houghton Lake had to - after most boating
activities were stymied by the massive layers of milfoil in their big lake. It was so bad that boat propellers were getting
caught in the weeds.
